Body, Molds in plaster and sound

With the participation of Adèle, Annie, Fiona, Nonna Anna, Vincent.
Tracks, souvenirs, wrinkles, waves, memoirs, scars and landscapes.
Increspature (Ripples) is a collection of casts of traces, wrinkles, memories, scars, and skin landscapes.
It is a participatory action protocol in contact with the public.
During an individual encounter lasting about two hours, I begin by asking the participant to choose a part of their body for the cast. While the plaster sets, I record our conversation.
The conversation starts from a story related to the skin, an anecdote, and gradually moves toward a moment of intimacy between strangers.
At the end of the meeting, a word is chosen to bear witness to the memories that have emerged.
The installation displays the casts on a lit table in a dark room. Small flashlights are placed at the edges of the table, aimed at the plaster pieces, and the public can direct them to explore the surfaces.
Fragments of the recorded conversations are played in the background—only in silence can they be perceived and their stories followed.
