Arché
Conical shape made of plaster, pieces molded with words
Marseille 2014-15
Excavation/etymological journey within words and form.
Each piece is engraved with a Greek, Latin, Sanskrit, or Indo-European etymology. Made of cast plaster, the pieces retain the negative etymology of the piece on which they rest. All parts are linked by meaning and etymology; from presence to absence through decomposition. Arché is the origin, the principle of digging, composing, and decomposing forms and words.
