Semina Serere

Decomposed work: concrete, wood, water
100cm x 100cm x 70cm
Marseille 2013 – 2015

Serere, etymology of "to sow", the tree stump in the concrete. Both elements, so different, coexist through time. Through the water and the presence of air, the stump decomposed, during 3 years.

The emptied concrete is the rest of this meeting. The wavy track of the fiber of the wood is engraved inside the block, we can see it by moving closer us in the middle of the trunk. The head of the observer can take place in the center of stump of the tree to see roots branching out towards several directions.
